ICF NYC Event, November 19, 2024: Hybrid Intelligence: The Future of High-Impact Coaching

The ICF NYC & Teachers College, Columbia University event "Hybrid Intelligence: The Future of High-Impact Coaching" last night was a blast.

Speakers Dr. Terrence E. Maltbia & Matthias Ehrhardt unpacked the definition of hybrid intelligence (AI and human) with experiential exercises.

For one of the exercises, Dr Maltbia asked us to think about and come up with a theme about the implications of AI for us as a professional coaches.

I jotted down: "Co-creation of meaning is a constant for humans -- we work best in community and within conversation; human-created AI is part of the conversation." I'll keep chewing on that.

The second 90 minutes was networking and blending of ICF NYC members. We were the NYU SPS Human Capital Management contingent (pictured below) and it was a delight to connect with other members across the Columbia program and meet ICF Board members in person like the wonderful Amy Warshawsky, MCC (not pictured).

Thank you, Teachers College, Columbia University coaching program for an enlightening evening!
